We all start somewhere and we all have our own goals

Usain Bolt took only 41 steps to reach 100 meters.

Su Bingtian took 47.

Bolt has the fastest top-speed ever and Su has the fastest start ever.

Bolt is 6’5”. Su is 5’8”.

Meanwhile, I have no idea what my 100m time is, and I’ll never be as fast as those guys even if I’m on the best natural training regimen ever made (which is hypothetical in itself and not exactly provable).

The point is that we all start somewhere.

Basketball was not fun for me when I was slow and my knees hurt.

It has been a priceless joy to now be much faster than I was, with incredible knee ability compared to what I had.

My mother doesn’t play a sport, but it’s priceless for her to be ABLE to sprint.

This week my baby was fussy in his stroller and I took him out.

Later, my 4-year-old took off running uphill.

My 72-year-old mother, who had the stroller, took off after her and they enjoyed running together.

Ya think she would put a price on this?

So to conclude the Speed Series, it has to be noted that we all start somewhere and we all have our own goals.

I “failed” at most sports goals I set for myself but found success and purpose in helping other people.

I hope you find priceless joy in what matters to you most in life, even if you never beat someone else in a race.

Yours in Solutions,

Ben
