Money is by far the #1 reported stress for people in the USA.
Health is up there, but Money is #1.
This is understandable, since there is no step-by-step Ability progression from school to real life.
But consider if there were.
Example:
Age 15: 5 hours school 1 hour work
Age 16: 4 hours school 2 hours work
Age 17: 3 hours school 3 hours work
With teachers directly helping you save and invest your earnings while you still live at home, before the crushing Demand of rent and bills.
A step-by-step Ability progression from school to real life would not guarantee success for every single person, but it would result in a population with dramatically better finances and less stress than what we have currently.
Step-by-step progression is less extreme than the all-or-nothing leap from school to real life that is used now, with no savings and no investment built up prior to graduation.
Similarly, “no knees over toes” was the mainstream knee advice in the textbooks I read while in college.
My social media page became the first step-by-step knees over toes education that is accessible to everyone.
If you go into Knee Ability thinking that one exercise or one workout will cure your knees forever, then you don’t understand Demand v Ability.
There is nothing I can do to guarantee I will never have a knee problem.
What I’m after is a generally high level of Ability to handle Demand at the knee joint - as well as Achilles, lower back, etc.
I use many different exercises in a broad rotation, never working at a painful level of any of them.
If you took away any single exercise, I would not mind.
For example, in my current basketball program I use the following exercise only once every two weeks as part of a broad rotation:

This happened to be the best exercise I could think of to demonstrate Knee Ability right on the court, since I only needed to put a few cheap cushions in my bag.
A broad rotation of exercises helps ensure I enjoy the workouts and am not overtrained on any one specific exercise. But I do build extra Ability over time, since basketball is one of the most painful sports for the knees (extreme Demand).
Prior to my journey with knees over toes, I endured eight straight years where my knees were my #1 stress in life. Pain, drugs, surgery. I obediently nevertrained my knees over my toes.
I was at rock bottom when I began experimenting with knees over toes. After a few years experimenting, I’ve now gone 13 years with my knees as a POSITIVE in my life.
Thirteen years able to DUNK, a lifelong dream which I had given up on by the time I reached my 20s.
You can win a genetic lottery at birth but there’s no health lottery you can go play in adulthood like you can with the money lottery.
Genetics are a factor for all of us, but so, too, is Demand v Ability.
I want to note that medical IS AN AMAZING AND NEEDED SUBJECT. SO IS GOVERNMENT.
Both medical and government are secondary subjects, though, compared to Ability.
The lower the Ability to handle Demand, the more medical and government intervention you need.
Because the current school system does not use a step-by-step progression on the subject of Money, I’m taking that responsibility for my three children.
On an individual basis, a parent can gradually increase the Ability of a child, with real skills and earned investments compounding over time.
This differs from simply handing my kids money.
It will be money they earned.
It will be money they understand.
It will be ABILITY.
Since more people are stressed by money than by knees - and a step-by-step progression on money is not even used in school yet - I figured this might help more people understand my overall view on Demand v Ability. It also explains why this is my #1 educational goal - not one specific exercise.
Yours in Ability,
Ben
